Brass Seals & Sealing Wax

Our brass seals come from Italy. We have many designs and alphabet letters to choose from. The round part of each seal is about the size of a penny (13mm) while the oval seals are slightly larger. Each seal comes with its own handle permanently attached to it--at no extra charge. The handles are emblazoned with a heraldic crest. The height of each seal, from the handle to the base, measures about 2 inches. Each seal comes with instructions on how to make perfect wax impressions every time.

2-color seals

Want to make 2-color seals?

Here's a great way to make seal designs with two colors! By using our gold or silver ColorBox pigment brush pad, you can get a colored background that really makes you wax design stand out. We suggest you pick a color wax that contrasts well with the color of the pigment pad. Then you simply melt your wax as usual, press the seal lightly onto the pigment pad, and then place your seal into the hot wax. When you lift off you seal, you'll have a beautiful colored background for an elegant two-tone seal.

Traditional Sealing Wax:

Wax sticks:

We import our sealing wax from Scotland to add a touch of old world class to snail mail correspondence, to role-playing game notes, to graduation announcements, or to wedding invitations. We've even seen a wax seal used to fasten the ribbon on a gift-wrapped package--and boy does that look sharp!

Generally we've found that each 4 inch long wax stick makes about 15 seals. And these sticks come with wicks so they light just like candles.

Colors:

Computer monitors vary a great deal in the way they display colors. The wax colors shown here, on our monitor, match the wax colors exactly. However, we suggest you use the colors pictured here as a rough guide. Actual colors may vary slightly.

Cost:

Sealing wax sticks $3.15. (Add $5.80 shipping. Please note: you can buy as many as 5 seals along with several wax sticks and it'll only cost you $5.80 to ship the whole order!)

Glue Gun Sealing Wax:

This sealing wax will fit any standard size glue gun! Each glue gun wax stick produces about 20-25 seals. While no company's sealing wax is 100% unbreakable, our glue gun sealing wax is the most flexible and sturdy.
Glue gun sealing wax sticks $1.75. (Add $5.80 shipping. Please note: you can buy as many as 5 seals along with several wax sticks and it'll only cost you $5.80 to ship the whole order!)

Glue gun

We now carry cordless, dual temperature glue guns! Low temp melting produces a richer seal and the flow is easier to control. High temp melting produces thinner seals more quickly. You can pick the temp that works best for you. Glue guns are a modern way of making many seals quickly.
Dual temperature glue gun $12.00. (Add $7.90 shipping.)
